The Korea Communications Standards Commission on Monday requested police investigation into the alleged obscene audio aired during a live broadcast.

The broadcast in question only transmitted audio, while a camera shows a black screen. The KCSC also banned the video streamers from airing the live broadcasting for six months.

According to local media reports, the two video streamers invited a woman to their house and carried out the lewd live broadcasting via a pay-per-view online channel in May. The KCSC terminated the broadcasting at the time.

On a hearing held in June, the two streamers said there was no actual sexual intercourse during the broadcast, and the sound was captured from another website. The KCSC, however, could not find the matching sound on the website they mentioned.

The commission called in the police to investigate the case and placed a six-month suspension on the two video streamers, while requesting the broadcasting platform to strengthen monitoring against lewd content.
