‘Discover Korea’ promotion at Grand Hyatt Incheon

Grand Hyatt Incheon’s Restaurant 8 presents Korean cuisine until Oct. 31 in celebration of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. The “Discover Korea” promotion menu includes pancake rolls, seasonal green salad, snow crab meat salad with yuja dressing, Korean beef tartar, sweet pumpkin porridge, assorted Korean pancake and Jedong beef stew. For dessert, seasonal fruit, rice punch, Korean crackers and rice cakes will be offered. The promotion offers a vegetarian menu, which includes yam mountain salad with citron dressing, mung bean salad and pancake rolls as appetizers, steamed eggplant and tofu with wild sesame sauce with vegetable bibimbap and taro soup as the main course. Lunch is available at 66,000 won per person and dinner at 88,000 won. The vegetarian lunch is 55,000 won and dinner is 66,000, including tax. For more information, call (032) 745-1234. 


Enjoy fireworks at Conrad Seoul 

Conrad Seoul is offering a special set menu in celebration of the Seoul Fireworks Festival on Oct. 4 at 37 Grill & Bar. The restaurant, which overlooks Hangang River, is one of the ideal places to enjoy the view of the annual fireworks festival. It will offer the fireworks festival course dinner for one night only, including lobster carpaccio with miso powder and caviar, truffles veloute, wagyu grilled beef sirloin with foie gras and chocolate sphere with coconut ice cream. Guests can indulge themselves in the dramatic view of fireworks and a romantic dinner accompanied by music by DJ Equinoxe. The price for a window seat is 300,000 won per person and 250,000 won for an inside seat. The price for a private dining room is 2 million won for a maximum of eight people. Weekend spa promotion at two InterContinental hotels

The sister InterContinental hotels adjacent to each other in Samseong-dong are offering a weekend spa package complete with a one-night stay and a spa treatment. The spa package includes two spa coupons worth 340,000 won for a 60-minute full body massage at In Spa. The package also includes late checkout until 2 p.m., and free entrance to the swimming pool, golf course and sauna. Guests using guestrooms on the club floor are given extra benefits available in the club lounge, including free breakfast and a free invitation to the Happy Hour event. The price for the package at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas starts from 420,000 won and it is 400,000 won at InterContinental Seoul COEX. There will be an additional charge of 60,500 won when including breakfast for two people. Whisky dinner at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul

JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul will host a whisky dinner, which includes a course meal at BLT Steak paired with different varieties of Scottish single malt whisky from Benromach distillery, and finishes with a cigar at the rooftop terrace of The Griffin Bar. The dinner at BLT Steak includes sea bass marinated in tomato juice and basil, lobster with whisky emulsion dressing and a New York strip marinated in extra virgin olive oil and herbs. The whiskies that will go with the dinner include the smoky and fruity Benromach Peat Smoke, the sweet Benromach Organic and Benromach 10 Year. Asian cuisine at Oakwood Premier Coex Center 

Oakwood Premier Coex Center’s buffet restaurant Oakwein Wine Buffet presents diverse Asian cuisine from Sept. 18 to Oct. 24 in celebration of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. The menu will include Indonesian chicken skewer with peanut sauce, dim sum, spring rolls, pineapple fried rice, banana dessert with vanilla cream sauce and coconut flour. The Asian cuisine will be accompanied by 10 different drinks, including white, red and sparkling wine. The Asian buffet runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
