About 300 nude bicyclists have ridden through the Peruvian capital of Lima to call attention to safety conditions and demand measures protecting cyclists.
Event organizer Octavio Zegarra says the protesters took to their bicycles nude Saturday to show that ``this is our body. With this we go out in the streets. We don't have a car to protect us.''
Zegarra asks others to ``please respect us.''

자전거 통행자 300명 누드시위 나선 까닭은?
옷을 입지 않은 시위자 약 300명이 자전거를 타고 페루의 수도 리마를 누비며 자전거 통행자들을 위한 거리 안전 상태와 보호 조치에 대한 관심을 호소했다.
누드 자전거 운동의 주최자인 옥타비오 제가라는 “보호해줄 차가 없는 우리는 이 몸과 함께 거리에 나간다.”며 시위자들을 존중해주기를 당부했다.
공식 통계에 의하면 페루에서는 지난 2011년 교통사고로 2,830명이 사망했다.
