A volleyball day along the Han River is to raise cash for homeless people in Seoul. Games will be played on Sunday, July 10 from 3-7 p.m. costing 15,000 won per player to enter. The event will be held on the river about a 10 minutes’ walk from Sincheon Station, near Jamsil.

The event, organized by PLUR, is to generate funds to buy rice and other essentials for the soup kitchen supported by the group’s volunteers. The money will also go towards Christmas and birthday gifts for orphans and other future PLUR activities.

Teams of between six and eight players are welcome to register and individuals can be matched to other teams. One non-playing team member will be requested to umpire in other matches.

PLUR is also running a collection drive for shoes and other items, which can also be dropped off on the day. Go to Facebook group Volunteer for PLUR for more information or email: volunteerforplur@gmail.com to register a team by July 8.
